Nicaise Kudimbana has made a move from Ostend to Anderlecht, joining the Mauves on loan for the next six months. The Congolese goalkeeper’s arrival is prompted by the need to fill in for Davy Roef, who is set for surgery and currently occupies the third goalkeeper position.
At 27 years old, Kudimbana, who found himself surplus to requirements at Ostend following the arrival of Ovono, will now potentially serve as the second or third goalkeeper at Anderlecht. He played a significant role in Ostend’s promotion to D1 but lost his place to Cédric Berthelin and later to Gabonese international Didier Ovono.
Having been trained at Union Saint-Gilloise, Kudimbana had a previous stint at Anderlecht back in 2008, although he struggled to establish himself at the time. He subsequently played for Cercle de Bruges before joining Ostend in 2012, where he made 40 appearances for the club.
