As reported by Africa Top Sports, Saber Khalifa is set to depart from Olympique de Marseille (OM) this winter. The Marseille club appears to have already identified a replacement for the Tunisian international. According to L’Equipe, Olympian management has their sights on Jérémie Aliadière. The 30-year-old striker, whose mother is Algerian, is expected to leave FC Lorient in the coming hours. Marseille and Lorient have reportedly already agreed on a transfer deal. However, the arrival of Aliadière on La Cannebière hinges on Khalifa’s departure.
Known for recruiting players from Lorient (such as Romao, Morel, Amalfitano, etc.), Marseille had already considered Aliadière as a potential target last summer. The former Arsenal player has expressed interest in the challenge presented by Marseille. When contacted by RMC, Lorient president Loïc Féry did not deny the possibility of his striker’s departure.
