Faouzi Ghoulam is set to make his move to Italy. After coming close to leaving last summer, the Algerian international is expected to depart from AS Saint-Etienne this winter, heading for the Italian Serie A and joining Napoli.
The 22-year-old left-back, who was previously close to joining Torino and then targeted by AS Roma this winter, will finally get his chance in the Italian league.
According to reports from L’Equipe, Napoli’s management reached an agreement with AS Saint-Etienne during the night from Wednesday to Thursday for the transfer of Ghoulam.
Currently under contract with Saint-Etienne until June 2016, the Algerian, who has earned 4 caps for the Algerian national team, is expected to undergo a medical examination before finalizing his move. The deal is anticipated to be for four and a half seasons, keeping Ghoulam at Napoli until June 2018.
