As reported by Africa Top Sports.com, Sandro Rosell resigned on Thursday evening following a complaint from Jordi Cases, who contested the announced transfer amount, claiming it was not 57 million euros as stated, but rather 95 million euros.
In his first public statement, Neymar da Silva Santos, father of Neymar, expressed his desire for transparency: “I asked FC Barcelona to waive the confidentiality of the contract so that everything is transparent and clean. I don’t owe anything. Neymar could only leave Santos to join Barcelona. My role was to safeguard and enhance the gain. It is absurd for someone to speak without knowledge of the facts. There was no 40 million euro advance.”
Sandro Rosell’s resignation will be remembered as a consequence of Jordi Cases, a social pharmacist from FC Barcelona, who prompted his departure from the presidency of FC Barcelona.
Upon the advice of his lawyer, Felipe Izquierdo, Cases revealed that he had withdrawn his complaint against Sandro Rosell.
Could this mark the end of the “Neymar” transfer saga?
