Valenciennes coach Ariel Jacobs had initially declared Opta Nguette fit for the upcoming match against Marseille in the 21st round of Ligue 1. However, Nguette will ultimately miss the match due to a torn hamstring.
In addition to Nguette, Valenciennes will also be without several other key players. Lindsay Rose is sidelined with a knee injury, while Anthony Le Tallec is dealing with adductor issues. Abdou Camara and Jean-Christophe Bahebeck are both nursing knee and hamstring injuries, respectively, and Aurelian Chitu is out with adductor problems.
