PHILIPPE TROUSSIER: NO RETURN TO AFRICA, BUT A NEW EXPERIENCE IN ASIA!

Unknown20 300x150 1
Philippe Troussier, the experienced coach known for his stints with various African national teams and clubs, is reportedly set to take on a new coaching role in Asia. Although there were speculations about him potentially coaching a national team in Africa, Troussier is expected to become the new coach of the Malaysian national team.

Having coached clubs and national teams in Africa, including Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, South Africa, and Morocco, Troussier has accumulated significant experience on the continent. He has also coached in Asia, with notable stints in Japan and Qatar.

Currently, Troussier is in Kuala Lumpur engaging in discussions with Malaysian football officials regarding his potential appointment as the national team coach. If confirmed, this move would mark another chapter in Troussier’s extensive coaching career, spanning both Africa and Asia.

His coaching journey includes notable achievements such as guiding Japan to the Round of 16 in the 2002 FIFA World Cup and leading them to victory in the 2000 Asian Cup. Troussier’s wealth of experience makes him a sought-after figure in football management, and his potential appointment in Malaysia will be followed with interest by football enthusiasts in both continents.
