Among the various resolutions passed by the CAF (Confederation of African Football) during its Executive Committee meeting on January 24, it was decided that the African Super Cup would be contested on February 22.
“The match between the winner of the Orange Champions League, Al Ahly (Egypt), and Club Sportif Sfaxien (Tunisia), the winner of the Orange Confederation Cup, will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the Cairo International Stadium in Egypt,” stated the continental body.
Al Ahly clinched their 8th African title by defeating Orlando Pirates last November, while CS Sfaxien emerged victorious against TP Mazembe.
