Borussia Dortmund supporters are finding it difficult to accept the departure of key player Robert Lewandowski, who will join Bayern Munich in June. This move to a major rival has stirred emotions among fans, and on Thursday, Lewandowski was involved in an altercation with a group of young people who insulted him.
The Polish striker denied accusations of violence, stating on his Facebook account, “I’m not going to tell a 17-year-old how to behave in a group, but I’m not going to let me or my family be offended. At the same time, I want to clearly state that I was absolutely not violent towards these people. I hope that this case will remain isolated, and that I will be able to concentrate on the second part of the season in complete peace with Borussia.”
Lewandowski, who has scored 11 goals in 17 Bundesliga games this season, signed a five-year contract with Bayern Munich in early January.
