Mbagnick Ndiaye, the Minister of Sports and Community Life of Senegal, announced on Tuesday in Dakar that Senegal is actively working on the organization of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) and is committed to ensuring its success. Ndiaye emphasized that both the Ministry and the Senegalese Football Federation have been collaborating for several months to facilitate a well-organized event. He mentioned that the Senegalese government is fully dedicated to the success of the junior CAN, considering it a matter of national importance. To address concerns about infrastructure, Ndiaye disclosed plans for a comprehensive program focused on renovating and constructing football stadiums in 2014, with support from Chinese cooperation. He assured that Senegal would meet all deadlines for the event, and despite positive achievements in revising outdated sports regulations in 2013, he acknowledged that there is still much work to be done.
