South Africa star Percy Tau won his 8th silverware with Egyptian giants Al Ahly SC after lifting the Egyptian Cup title on Friday night.
The Red Devils defeated eternal rivals Zamalek in the Egypt Cup final in Saudi Arabia with Emam Ashour and Mohamed Magdy Afsha scoring for Al Ahly to seal the victory.
The victory sees the Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau to secure his 8th career title since he joined Africa’s most successful team.
Tau has won 1 each of the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, and Egyptian Premier League.
The 29-year-old winger has also won three Egyptian Super Cup and two Egypt Cup following the victory against Zamalek in Saudi Arabia.
After an illustrious career with Mamelodi Sundowns, Tau moved to Brighton and Hove Albion on £2.7 million deal for four years in 2019.
He went on loan to Union SG, Cub Brugge, and Anderlecht all in Belgium before returning to the continent in Egypt in 2021 when he signed for the African giants.
Tau with Egyptian giants has been an influential figure in the squad as he has scored 22 goals in 82 games since his three years stay in the Maghrebian region.
