Amara Diané, the striker who etched his name into the memories of Paris Saint-Germain supporters with a crucial goal in May 2008, is now seeking a return to European football. Having played for PSG between 2006 and 2008, the Ivorian striker has spent almost six years in exile in Qatar and is currently a free agent.
In an interview with mercato365.com, the 31-year-old Abidjan native expressed his desire to find a club in a European championship. Diané, reflecting on his time in the Gulf countries, stated, “I have just finished my adventure in the Gulf countries. There, I am ready to return to Europe. I want to get back into the swing of things and rediscover my feelings.”
Despite the passage of time, Diané believes he possesses the physical capabilities needed to make an impact in a European club. He affirmed, “I am well. I’m ready to take on a new challenge. I haven’t changed. Everyone asks me if I’m as fast as before. I prefer to say nothing and let people see: the managers, the journalists, and the supporters. But I can tell you that I have not lost all my qualities!”
