Salomon Kalou, the Lille striker, has earned a new accolade this season as he secures the title of “Player of the Month for December” in Ligue 1. This recognition was bestowed upon him on Thursday, following in the footsteps of his Nigerian teammate Vincent Enyeama, who received the honor for “Best Player of the Month for November” just a day prior.
In the voting tally, Kalou emerged victorious, outshining two Paris Saint-Germain players. The former Chelsea player secured an impressive 53% of the votes, surpassing Ibrahimovic (36%) and Thiago Motta (11%).
With six goals to his name, Kalou currently holds the position of Lille’s leading goal-scorer in Ligue 1, sharing the top spot with Nolan Roux.
