Aliou Cissé, former Senegalese midfielder and current coach of the Senegal Espoirs (youth) team, has expressed interest in the position of head coach for the Lions of Teranga. The national team has been without a coach since the dismissal of Joseph Koto. Cissé, despite acknowledging his relative lack of coaching experience compared to seasoned managers like Mourinho, Wenger, or Ferguson, believes he is ready for the challenge. Having played at a high level for 18 years and being a member of the National Technical Directorate, Cissé feels he can contribute to the national team’s success. The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has yet to announce a decision regarding the coaching position.
