Confirmed: Malian striker Mana Dembélé has officially left Clermont (Ligue 2) to join En Avant Guingamp (Ligue 1). The 25-year-old forward has signed a 3.5-year contract with the newly-promoted team.
The reported transfer fee for the transaction is around 500,000 euros. Dembélé departs from Clermont, where he had been since 2011, tallying 23 goals in 86 Ligue 2 matches. In response to his departure, Clermont is already planning reinforcements, as stated on the official website: “Several profiles were studied upstream to compensate for this departure. Reinforcements should arrive in the coming days.”
On the Guingamp side, it has been disclosed that Mana Dembélé will wear the number 23 jersey. He was officially presented to the press earlier this morning.
