Clermont forward Mana Dembélé is poised to make a significant leap in his Ligue 1 career. With his current contract set to expire next June, the Malian international is reportedly in advanced talks with En Avant Guingamp. The 25-year-old center forward is expected to finalize a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Breton club on Thursday, with the potential transfer fee estimated at around 500,000 euros.
Currently serving a two-match suspension due to incidents in a previous game against Angers (0-2), Dembélé made a name for himself last season in Auvergne, scoring 13 goals in 37 Ligue 2 matches for Clermont. However, the current season has been less prolific for the striker, finding the net only three times. Limited playing time in the lower division has seen the former Châteauroux player start just eight games since the beginning of the season.
