The first football team of Zamalek Club, under the guidance of Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, concluded their training session on Thursday evening at the Al-Muhad Sports Academy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in preparation for the upcoming showdown against Al Ahly in the Egypt Cup final.
The Zamalek players began their session with a conditioning segment, led by fitness coach Joao Miguel, engaging in various exercises to warm up and prepare for the intense training ahead.
Under the supervision of Portuguese tactician Jose Gomez, the team then transitioned into tactical drills, where strategic concepts were elucidated in preparation for the highly anticipated encounter against Al Ahly in the Egypt Cup final.
As the training session drew to a close, the team engaged in a light technical scrimmage on a portion of the pitch, implementing the tactical ideas practiced earlier in the session.
The final training session was attended by club chairman Hussein Labib, vice-chairman Hisham Nasr, head of the delegation in Saudi Arabia, and Ahmed Sleiman, a board member overseeing football affairs.
They were briefed by Abdelwahed El Sayed, the football director, on all final arrangements for the team ahead of Friday’s match against Al Ahly.
Zamalek is set to face Al Ahly on Friday at Al Oul Park in Riyadh, with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM Cairo time (8:30 PM Saudi time), in the final of the Egypt Cup competition.
