Juan Carlos Garrido, the former coach of Al Ahly Club, Spain, highlighted the challenge of the summit match between Al Ahly and Zamalek in the 2022-2023 Egyptian Cup final, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, at the First Park Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
Garrido expressed his wish for the Red Devils to win the match and clinch the title.
Speaking exclusively, Garrido said, “Matches between Al Ahly and Zamalek are always thrilling, but this encounter is different from many previous ones between the two giants, with the presence of a crowd filling the stadium unlike previous matches.”
“The match will be tough for both teams, and it’s difficult to predict the winner, but I hope Al Ahly will defeat Zamalek and ultimately win the cup,” added the Spanish coach.
Garrido, currently coaching USM Alger, continued, “There are top players in both teams, although I’m not closely following Egyptian football at the moment, but I’m pleased when Al Ahly wins.”
The match between Al Ahly and Zamalek in the Egyptian Cup final is set to kick off at 7:30 PM tomorrow, Friday, at the First Park Stadium, which can accommodate 25,000 fans.
The broadcasting channels for the Al Ahly vs. Zamalek match in the Egyptian Cup final will be On Time Sports and MBC Egypt, with Medhat Shalaby providing commentary through a joint broadcast on both channels.
