Cédric Bakambu, the striker for Sochaux, has attracted interest from two English clubs, namely Newcastle and Norwich, during the winter transfer window. Despite Sochaux’s struggles in Ligue 1, Bakambu’s performances have drawn attention. Both English clubs are reportedly keen on signing the 22-year-old forward. Bakambu, a French footballer of Congolese origin, has also garnered interest from Belgian clubs Bruges and Standard Liège. Sochaux may consider allowing his departure if a compelling offer is made. Bakambu is under contract with Sochaux until June 2015.
