It’s time for the first day of action in Group C at the 2014 African Nations Championship. Following the notable takeover of Uganda in Group B, Ghana is set to make its debut in the competition today. The Black Stars, finalists in the first edition, led by Maxwell Konadu, will face Congo, a team making its first appearance in the tournament.

However, luck has not been on their side as this edition of CHAN was initially scheduled to take place in Libya. Ethiopia, therefore, enters the match as the predicted favorite, fielding a team that resembles an A-team, with most players having participated in the CAN last year.
