Bernard Parker successfully converted the penalty, leveling the score at one goal apiece as the teams headed to the locker room.
The second half saw Tchabalala and his teammates continuing their strong performance, quickly confirming their dominance with an additional goal from a powerful shot by Kekana in the 58th minute. The host country sealed the match with Bernard Parker’s second goal in the 81st minute, a left-footed strike assisted by Tchabalala. Bafana Bafana successfully completed their first mission in Group A, securing a victory in their opening match in front of their president, Jacob Zuma.
