Former AS Saint-Etienne player (1945-1958), Rachid Mekhloufi, has been appointed as an ambassador of the French club. Mekhloufi expressed his surprise and pride at the decision by club president Roland Romeyer. He sees this appointment as recognition for the valuable services he provided to the legendary club. At 76 years old, Mekhloufi is honored by the award of a lifetime place in the official stand of the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium. As an ambassador, he will represent AS Saint-Etienne at various events, acknowledging his contributions to the club’s history. Mekhloufi played for several European clubs and won the Coupe de France in 1968 with Saint-Étienne.
