Mohamed Meselhi, the president of Alexandria’s Union Club, expressed his immense pleasure with the outstanding performance delivered by the team’s striker, Angolan Mabululu.
Mabululu succeeded in scoring two goals in Alexandria Union’s victory over league leaders ENPPI, propelling the team to second place in the championship deservedly and competently.
The president of Alexandria Union Club pointed out that Mabululu is a legend in the Egyptian league, highlighting his productive participation during the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament with his national team Angola, where he emerged as one of the stars.
Meselhi added that Mabululu’s brilliance in the tournament was neither a coincidence nor a surprise to them, as they expected him to display this excellent level, which is a continuation of his journey with the Union Club throughout the past period.
Meselhi concluded by stating that the management of Alexandria Union was justified in refusing to part with the player at the beginning of the season because they were well aware of his capabilities as one of the distinguished strikers, making him close to clinching the Egyptian League’s top scorer title for the current season.
He further elaborated, “Alexandria Union is progressing steadily this season, despite the strong competition in the Premier League this season.”
Mohamed Meselhi praised Alexandria Union players and the team’s coaching staff under Tarek El-Ashry’s leadership, urging the Union fans to continue their support and backing for the team even in the event of setbacks, as football ultimately entails both gains and losses, which is the essence of the sport.
