Hamdi Harbaoui, the Tunisian striker currently playing for Lokeren, expressed his desire to leave the club during the winter transfer window to compete in a larger championship. Despite having an excellent start to the season, Harbaoui is seeking new challenges. Lokeren has confirmed that they have received interest from an English club and two Russian clubs regarding the striker.
Sporting Lokeren is eager for Harbaoui to complete a transfer quickly. The 29-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 19 starts in the Jupiler League season, is the second-highest scorer in the Belgian championship and has contributed significantly to his team’s performance. Lokeren’s management has set a deadline for Harbaoui to either leave the club in mid-January or stay until the end of the season.
In addition to interest from English and Russian clubs, Harbaoui is reportedly on the radar of RC Lens, currently in the third position in French Ligue 2. The Tunisian international, known for his agility and technical skills, has made a significant impact in the Belgian league and is under contract with Lokeren until June 2016.
