Despite being linked to prominent European clubs like Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, and Anderlecht, the player’s agent shed light on the situation in an interview with Belgian media Sudpresse.
The agent explained, “The situation is very simple. If a club puts the requested sum in this release clause, Michy will be free to sit down to negotiate a transfer. Currently, no club has deposited this sum on the Standard table.” This indicates that Batshuayi’s departure is contingent on a club meeting the specified release clause amount.
The agent further mentioned, “Michy feels good about himself in Sclessin. No doubt about it. Now I also have to tell you that there is a lot of interest in him. Yes, Premier League clubs follow him very closely but not only there. In other major championships too, there are serious tracks. It’s very hot for Michy.”
