Amer Hussein, head of the Competitions Committee and member of both the Club Association and the Football Association, has issued a response to the criticism launched by Walid Dabes, President of Modern Future.
In an interview with ETC channel, Hussein addressed the accusations, stating, “Walid Dabes is upset because I don’t answer his calls? I haven’t saved his number, I swear.”
He continued, “Someone called me 10 days ago and informed me that he would call me because I hadn’t responded, and indeed, we spoke at that time.”
Regarding the crisis involving Future FC and their request to postpone the match against Smouha due to it falling between their games against SuperSport United from South Africa and Al-Hilal from Libya, Hussein clarified, “When did Future FC play in South Africa with SuperSport United? On February 25th.”
He elaborated, “It is not true that they requested to postpone the Smouha match (February 29th).
The letter I received from Future FC requested the postponement of the Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab match on February 19th.
Is the period from the 19th to the 25th good or bad? And if they wanted to postpone the Smouha match, why didn’t they send another letter?”
Hussein emphasized the importance of adhering to regulations, stating, “Everyone says they want a regular league, yet everyone requests postponements.
There are rules that everyone must abide by. Are we supposed to cancel the rules and make postponement decisions discretionary? Future FC’s arrival date in Egypt (on the 27th) is not my concern.
I won’t schedule matches before I finalize the fixtures.”
Regarding the postponement of the Ahly and Enppi match due to the national team’s camp, he said, “No one from the league informed me of anything.
Ahmed Diab (League President) is the one who met with the national team staff and didn’t inform me of anything.
I sent him the fixtures, and he told me, ‘Publish the fixtures.’ The match remains scheduled for me at its original time until now.”
