Leonardo, the sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), has shown interest in Mario Balotelli, the Manchester City striker. Balotelli is part of PSG’s shortlist, which also includes Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Daniele De Rossi (AS Roma), and Neymar (Santos).
Mario Balotelli shares the same agent as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gregory van der Wiel, and Maxwell, providing him with the support of those players who have a connection with Leonardo. The PSG sporting director has maintained good relations with Balotelli’s agent through these players.
However, Balotelli’s behavior has been a source of concern for his club officials. He made headlines again by attending a nightclub the day before Manchester City’s match against Tottenham (2-1) on the 11th day of the Premier League. Despite his contract running until 2015, Manchester City is reportedly considering the possibility of Balotelli’s departure.
While discussions between PSG officials and Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent are ongoing, no agreement has been reached at the moment. PSG’s interest in Balotelli adds another dimension to their pursuit of top-tier players in the football transfer market.
