Emmanuel Adebayor is determined not to miss the upcoming reunion with Arsenal in the FA Cup on Saturday. Despite being labeled as doubtful after being taken off on a stretcher in the Premier League match against Manchester United, the Togolese striker reassured everyone on Thursday evening via his Twitter account.
In his tweet, the former Monaco player stated, “Hey guys, just to let you know that I recovered well from yesterday’s match (editor’s note: Wednesday) and did everything to be in shape for Saturday. Thank you all for your support.” Adebayor had to leave the match against Manchester United in the 70th minute, with his manager Tim Sherwood mentioning that he “needed ice on every part of his body.”
Since his return to the team following the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas, Adebayor has been in great form, scoring four goals in as many matches. His determination to be fit for the clash against Arsenal is evident in his message of gratitude for the support received from fans.
