Moroccan football federation responds to coach law amendment
Moroccan Football Federation, in conjunction with the National Professional Football League, is considering amendments to the national coach law following a request from the Moroccan Coaches Association, informed sources revealed to “Hesport.” The proposed amendments await approval.
Sources further indicated that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, in collaboration with the National League, has responded positively to the request.
However, final approval of the law amendments is expected to be addressed at the next general assembly or delegated to the National League for approval.
According to the same sources, the approval of amendments to the coach law necessitates convening a general assembly, indicating that the new regulations will not take effect until the upcoming football season.
The proposed amendments include allowing coaches to manage up to two teams in the top national division within a single football season, with no restrictions on coaching in other divisions.
It is worth noting that the coach law, which prohibits any coach from managing two teams in the same division within one season, regardless of the circumstances leading to the end of the first tenure, has been in effect since 2016 without fully addressing the technical instability issues within clubs.
