Chelsea announced a loss of £49.4 million (€54 million) for the 2012-2013 season. The club attributed the deficit to a less favorable balance of transfers compared to the previous season and an early exit from the Champions League. Despite this, Chelsea believes it is on track to meet the financial fair play criteria imposed by UEFA. The club highlighted a record turnover of €307 million, driven by a significant increase in commercial revenues (+19%). Chelsea also emphasized that its 10-year agreement with the equipment manufacturer Adidas, bringing in €36 million from this season, is not yet fully accounted for in the financial reports.
