The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the final shortlist for the title of “Best African Player of the Year.” The three nominees are Yaya Touré, Didier Drogba, and John Obi Mikel. The winners will be revealed on January 9 during a gala event in Lagos, Nigeria. Other categories include National Team of the Year, Best Coach of the Year, Club of the Year, Hope of the Year, Referee of the Year, CAF Legends, CAF Platinum Award, and Youth National Team of the Year. The gala will also honor Nigeria fans with the CAF Platinum Award.
