Santos Muntubile, the coach of the local Leopards of DR Congo, announced the squad for the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN). Notably, Trésor Mputu was not included in the list, confirming his decision not to participate in the competition due to issues related to the treatment of players. This omission also aligns with Mputu’s recent transfer to Kabuscorp, a move contested by his former club Tout Puissant Mazembe. The CHAN tournament is exclusively for players participating in local championships. The DR Congo team, placed in Group D, will face Mauritania, Gabon, and Burundi during the championship.
