Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the deputy president of PSG, reportedly conveyed to the Catalan daily Sport that no such operation is currently under consideration.
The initial article in the Ile-de-France newspaper proposed the idea that Lionel Messi might enter into a standoff with Barcelona to reduce his release clause, currently set at €250 million, to a more manageable sum, potentially between €150 and €180 million. However, Al-Khelaïfi’s statement suggests that PSG is not pursuing such a move to acquire the Argentine star.
