Christian Atsu, the Ghanaian winger, has received good news during this holiday season as he became a father to a little boy on Sunday. Atsu shared the joyous announcement on social media, posting a photo with his baby and his wife, Marie-Claire Rupio.
Atsu, who was purchased by Chelsea last summer, had been training with Vitesse Arhem in the Netherlands before rejoining the Chelsea squad next year. Known for his technical skills, Atsu emerged as one of the talents for the Black Stars during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. He played a crucial role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
Barring any injuries, Atsu is expected to be a part of the Ghanaian squad in Brazil next year, where they will face Germany, Portugal, and the USA.
