Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim “Kahraba,” the forward for Egypt’s Al Ahly football team, has been dealt a severe setback by Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team.
According to statements made by sports commentator Mahyoub Abdel-Hady on the program “Al Laiyeb,” broadcasted on the Egyptian TV channel “MBC Egypt,” Hossam Hassan has decided to exclude Kahraba from Egypt’s national team roster for the upcoming March training camp.
Abdel-Hady revealed, “Hossam Hassan has settled on excluding Kahraba from Egypt’s national team list for the March camp.”
He continued, “Hossam Hassan has decided to exclude Kahraba due to his absence from recent matches with Al Ahly,” adding, “Kahraba was in the plans of the national team coaching staff, but his failure to participate in his team’s recent matches led the head coach to decide to exclude him from the upcoming camp.”
The national team camp is scheduled to commence on March 13th and will continue until the 26th of the same month in preparation for the UAE friendly tournament.
Egypt’s national team will play its first match against New Zealand on March 22nd, with the winner facing the winner of the Croatia vs. Tunisia match on March 26th.
