Away from the tumultuous scenes that characterize Togo’s daily life, one of the teams in Togo’s group at the CAN, Tunisia, is diligently planning a challenging schedule that might raise eyebrows for Didier Six, the coach of Togo’s national team. The Carthage Eagles have added a friendly match against the Pharaohs to their itinerary.
Following a cancellation due to a delayed response from Egypt, the two football federations have now agreed on a date for a test match. The Tunisian and Egyptian national teams are set to face each other in a friendly on January 7. This fixture joins the already scheduled matches against Ghana, Gabon, and Iraq.
All these friendly encounters will take place in Abu Dhabi, where the Tunisian national football team will be based from December 27 onwards. Additionally, Egypt will serve as a sparring partner for the Ivory Coast Elephants, another team Tunisia will face in the group stage of CAN 2013.
