Yeni Ngbakoto, a player coveted by several Ligue 1 clubs, including Bordeaux, Lille, and Nice, has chosen to continue his journey in Ligue 2 with FC Metz. Despite the interest from higher-tier clubs, Ngbakoto, whose contract was set to expire in June, decided to extend it for another year, committing to play with FC Metz until June 2015.
Speaking about his decision, Yeni Ngbakoto expressed confidence in the club’s project and progression, stating, “The club has a project, we feel that it is progressing, and I have every confidence in the president and the current technical staff to help me progress further.” The 21-year-old attacking midfielder emphasized his desire to climb the ladder and acknowledged the trust placed in him by the club’s leaders.
Ngbakoto, recognized for his performances, was one of the three footballers designated by the UNFP as the Ligue 2 player of the month for November. Despite the interest from top-flight clubs, he has chosen to continue contributing to FC Metz’s growth and development in the current season.
