Lille and OGC Nice are reportedly showing interest in Gbenga Arokoyo, a young Nigerian defender. The 21-year-old footballer is currently under contract with Mjalby, a Swedish team, until December 2014. According to Swedish media Expressen, both French Ligue 1 clubs are looking to secure the services of Arokoyo.
Having arrived in Sweden in 2012 from the Kwara Football Academy in Nigeria, where he signed in 2010, Gbenga Arokoyo has caught the attention of clubs in France. As a former Nigerian U20 international, the young defender may have the opportunity to make his mark in French Ligue 1, with a potential move as early as the upcoming winter transfer window.
