Geoffroy Lembet has officially joined AJ Auxerre until the conclusion of the season. Following a successful trial, the Central African international goalkeeper will now defend the goal for the Burgundians.
The acquisition of Lembet is a response to the unavailability of Olivier Sorin, who suffered a fractured tibia during the 15th day of Ligue 2 after AJ Auxerre’s victory against Caen (3-2).
At 25 years old, Lembet is expected to serve as the backup for Donovan Léon. However, if he manages to make an impact and alter the goalkeeping hierarchy, he will aim to secure a prominent position in the team.
Having represented the Central African Republic national team, known as the Fauves de Bas Oubangui, Lembet brings valuable experience with 12 international appearances to his name.
