The Gabon national football team, known as the Panthers, played an impressive match against Portugal, holding them to a 2-2 draw in Libreville. Despite missing several key players on both sides, the match provided great entertainment for the fans at the Agondjè stadium.
Lévy Madinda and Biyogho Poko, from the penalty spot, scored for the Panthers, while Pizzi and Hugo Almeida found the net for Portugal. The Gabon team, already eliminated from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, is using these friendly matches to fine-tune its preparations for the return of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in March.
