Despite the fanfare surrounding her outstanding performance at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow, Muriel Ahouré has yet to receive her well-deserved bonus. This revelation came to light during a press conference held on Thursday by the president of the discipline’s federation.
The president stated, “Murielle Ahouré has still not received her Olympic bonus and her target bonus since she secured two silver medals in the 100 and 200 meters at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow in August.” He further explained, “The result bonus and the Olympic bonus for the Ivorian sprinter, which are part of the overall budget of 40 million FCFA, considering the participation of Ivorian athletes in the World Championships last August in Russia, are still pending from the Ivorian State, even four months after Moscow 2014.”
As a reminder, Muriel Ahouré showcased her excellence by winning two silver medals in the 100 and 200 meters during the competition.
