Dhiaa El-Sayed, former coach of the Egyptian national team, emphasized that Liverpool had clinched the League Cup title without 11 key players, highlighting the necessity for coaches to prepare a large number of players given the congestion of match schedules.
Speaking on the “Box to Box” program on etc TV, El-Sayed stated, “Al-Ahly displayed a good performance against Medeama, especially in the second half.
They succeeded in securing the win due to Marcelo Gallardo’s instructions, and all the players showed an improved performance, which led to the victory.”
He added, “The transformation in Al-Ahly’s performance in the second half was natural, and ultimately, the team secured the win. They benefited from the result of the match between CR Belouizdad and Young Africans, with the Algerian team performing very poorly in the game.”
El-Sayed continued, “It’s difficult for Al-Ahly to play for the second position against Young Africans Tanzanian in the final round, and certainly, Mamelodi Sundowns will secure the top spot at the expense of TP Mazembe.
In the next stage, the Red Team must be ready to face all matches with strength.”
Moreover, he highlighted, “We are indeed facing an organizational problem regarding match schedules.
Amer Hussein needed to participate in the meeting between the league and Hossam Hassan, and all agreements should be announced officially to prevent future conflicts.”
