The management board of Maghreb Tetouan football club has voiced its dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions made by Youssef El Triki during the team’s match against Raja Club Athletic on Saturday, marking the twenty-first round of the Moroccan Professional Football League.
A reliable source from Maghreb Tetouan, speaking exclusively to “Hesport,” stated, “The referee was not successful in many decisions that significantly impacted the outcome of the match,” highlighting that “our team suffered greatly from the refereeing decisions.”
The same source clarified, “The referee denied us a legitimate goal under the pretext of offside, while the replay clearly shows that the goal was valid and evident,” questioning at the same time, “Why is Maghreb Tetouan often the victim of some strange refereeing decisions?”
The high-profile match between Maghreb Tetouan and Raja Club Athletic ended in a one-goal draw, with both teams finding the net amid a large crowd of spectators.
With this draw, Raja Club Athletic maintains its lead in the league table with 45 points, while Maghreb Tetouan’s tally reaches 26 points, positioning them in seventh place.
However, it’s important to note that this ranking remains provisional until the completion of the remaining matches of the round and any postponed fixtures.
