Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, has reached out to Mostafa Mohamed, the striker for FC Nantes and the Egyptian national team, to inquire about his condition following an injury sustained in his team’s recent match against Lorient in the French league, which Nantes won 1-0.
There was considerable concern among the coaching staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hassan, after Mostafa Mohamed’s injury, fearing a prolonged absence from official matches.
However, the French club later announced that Mohamed’s injury was merely a thigh bruise.
Mostafa Mohamed currently leads FC Nantes’ goal-scoring charts in the French league this season with 7 goals.
The Egyptian national team is preparing to participate in a friendly tournament scheduled for March 22, where they will face Tunisia, Croatia, and New Zealand.
Hossam Hassan is expected to announce the names of the national team players joining the camp in the United Arab Emirates after the conclusion of the Egyptian Cup final between Al Ahly and Zamalek.
Egypt will kick off the quadrangular tournament against New Zealand, with the winner facing the winner of the match between Tunisia and Croatia.
