Germany is set to play three additional friendly matches at home before heading to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The matches will take place on May 15 in Hamburg, June 1 in Mönchengladbach, and June 5 in Mainz. The opponents for these matches have not been finalized, but the German Football Association (DFB) is considering an African and a European team. These friendlies are in addition to the already scheduled match against Chile on March 5 in Stuttgart. The team will also undergo a training camp in South Tyrol from May 21 to 31. The German squad will enter the World Cup facing Portugal, Ghana, and the United States in Group G.
