Kenya celebrates its 50 years of independence, and the national football team, Harambee Stars, adds to the joy by winning the 2013 CECAFA Cup. In the final against Sudan, Allan Wanga’s exceptional performance secured a 2-0 victory for Kenya. The striker scored both goals, and the win marked Kenya’s first CECAFA Cup title since 2002 and the first on home soil in 30 years.
