El Merreick and National Sport of Khartoum have failed to reach an agreement for the transfer of Togolese striker Raimi Djima. The negotiation broke down over the transfer fee, with National Sport of Khartoum reportedly valuing Djima at $400,000, a sum deemed excessive by El Merreick.
Djima, who joined the Sudanese club last June from Grombalia Sport in Tunisia for a fee of $70,000, has performed well, scoring 8 goals in all competitions this season. With his contract set to expire in June, there is interest in the striker from Tunisian and Algerian clubs, as well as reportedly from a French Ligue 2 club. The failure to reach an agreement with National Sport of Khartoum opens up the possibility of Djima moving to another league next season.
