Ghanaian midfielder Abdul-Yakuni Iddi, who plays for FC Mechelen in the Jupiler Pro League, is facing a significant setback as he will be sidelined for three months. The Belgian club announced on its website that Iddi has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament. The injury occurred two weeks ago during a league match against La Gantoise.
Fortunately, the injury will not require knee surgery for Iddi. Instead, he will wear a special cast to aid in the healing and recovery process. This unfortunate news means that Iddi will not return to the pitches of the Jupiler Pro League until the end of the year.
