Moses Parker, the president of Ghanaian club Medeama, has spoken out ahead of his team’s showdown against Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League.
The football club from Al Ahly is set to face a tough challenge when they visit Medeama for the match scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. next Friday as part of the fifth round of group stage matches in the CAF Champions League.
In an interview with radio station “Akoma FM,” President Parker expressed his confidence in Medeama, emphasizing their capability to emerge victorious against Al Ahly.
“Medeama is giving its all.
This match means a lot to us. We did it back in 2016 against TP Mazembe, so repeating that won’t be difficult,” Parker said.
Medeama had previously defeated Mazembe in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup with a score of 3-2.
“I expect a win, but we will seek it through all positive means. All we need is the support of all Ghanaians,” he added.
“On Friday, we will surprise Ghanaians with a victory against Al Ahly to get closer to qualifying for the next round,” Parker continued.
Furthermore, Moses Parker revealed that he has allocated significant bonuses for the players to motivate them to strive for victory against the African champions.
“I cannot disclose the exact amount of the bonus, but it is substantial.
I know they (the players) need more, and this enhances my confidence in defeating Al Ahly,” he concluded.
