The National Association of the Sports Press of Senegal (ANPS) is set to hold its election for the best Senegalese athletes of the past year on December 17. The candidates for the title of the 2013 Ballon d’Or Senegal (BOS) include Moussa Sow from Fenerbahce, Demba Bâ from Chelsea, Ibrahima Touré (formerly of Monaco), Sadio Mané (Red Bull – Salzburg), and Papis Demba Cissé. The awards ceremony will take place on January 17, 2014, at the Grand Theatre of Dakar, with four categories: Best local footballer, Ballon d’Or Senegal (BOS), Best sportsman, and Best wrestler. Notable wrestlers in the running include Balla Gaye II, Malick Niang, Zoss, Papa Sow, and Gouye Gui. The event will pay tribute to the late Bruno Metsu and Falaye Baldé.
