This appointment to the Qatari government occurred two weeks ago during his visit to Doha. Initially, his role will lack tangible activities. Although closely associated with Emir Tamim bin-Hamad al-Thani, the PSG president is expected to step down from his current roles within a few years to undertake “high political responsibilities.”
